Emergency Planning

Susquehanna develops and tests comprehensive emergency response plans

In collaboration with local, state and federal agencies, Susquehanna Nuclear maintains a comprehensive emergency plan.  Throughout the year, Susquehanna works with these agencies to test equipment, exercise staff and demonstrate the ability to respond in the unlikely event of a nuclear emergency.

It is important that the public is informed and prepared should a nuclear emergency occur.  We maintain this website to provide emergency planning information in an interactive electronic format compatible with your smartphone or personal computer.

Please review the information linked below and throughout this site for more information about emergency planning and procedures.

Residents and Businesses within a 10-mile radius of the Susquehanna plant are encouraged to download and print the linked Emergency Brochure and keep it on hand for use in the event of a nuclear emergency. Click here to download.
