Kevin Cimorelli

Site Vice President

Commercial nuclear industry veteran Kevin Cimorelli currently serves as site vice president at Talen Energy’s Susquehanna nuclear power plant in Salem Township, Luzerne County, Pa. Since joining Susquehanna in 2011, Mr. Cimorelli has served in progressively challenging positions including director, strategic planning & improvements, programs general manager and operations general manager.

Prior to joining Susquehanna, Mr. Cimorelli served as a senior evaluator in maintenance and work management disciplines for the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO). Through that experience, he possesses deep evaluation and assessment experience – both in preparation for and execution of formal inspections.

As a leader within the corporate environment at FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Corporation (FENOC) based in Akron, Ohio, Mr. Cimorelli was promoted to the position of director of fleet support at FENOC. Prior to that, he served as director of maintenance at FENOC’s Perry Nuclear Power Station, the only Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) in FirstEnergy’s nuclear fleet. His nuclear experience there included work as an ASME-certified quality inspector, work control manager, outages manager and engineering technical services manager, as well as director of work control, outage management and maintenance.

Mr. Cimorelli graduated magna cum laude from Cleveland’s David Myers College with a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Management. He also earned a degree in Electrical Technology from Kent State University, Cleveland, and has completed several courses in system integrated operations, as well as executive financial and leadership.
