Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (“Susquehanna”) recently treated the staff at Commonwealth Health Berwick Hospital Center to a special ‘thank-you’ meal to recognize them for their commitment and sacrifice as they ensure the health of our community.  Hospital employees were served a breakfast, lunch or dinner meal from J. Zapata Mexican Food Truck and received messages of appreciation from the Susquehanna team.  Approximately 120 meals were served throughout the day.

“After more than six months of working tirelessly to care for patients amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Team Susquehanna wanted to reach out and let our local healthcare workers know we are thinking of them and truly appreciate all they have done and are continuing to do to.  Their dedication has not gone unnoticed,” said Susquehanna Chief Nuclear Officer Brad Berryman.

Susquehanna’s parent company, Talen Energy, is delivering meals to hospital and healthcare facilities throughout its operational footprint, including facilities in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Montana and Texas.  The effort is part of Talen’s core values and commitment to operating with integrity and a focus on “no harm.”
